Always Standing Up When Standings Hard To Do.

Hello everybody and welcome back to HAIR IN THE AIR, The Official Blog of 3D In Your Face.  Summer tour is coming down on us like a tidal wave of Rock N Roll and I am ready to ride that wave as long as she wants to go.  We are about two weeks out from the official start of summer and the beginning of my favorite part of the calendar year.  TOUR SEASON!  I am very excited to announce we will be back to The 21st Saloon this Friday, April 18th with The KISS Karaoke Experience.  This show will be sponsored by Liquid Courage Tattoo and hosted by DJ Steve.  We will be celebrating KISS' induction into the Rock N Roll hall of fame with a little karaoke tribute to The Hottest Band In The World during out set breaks.  Break out those KISS shirts because everyone that wears a KISS shirt will receive $2 off at our merch table as well as everything in our Ebay store will be $2 off as well.  I told you this was a celebration.

Sunday, April 27th we are very excited to announce that we will be filming our first music video for the second single "In Your Face" from our Midnight Devils Album.  Here is the kicker.  We are inviting all of our friends to take part in the video.  We need about 20-30 people dressed in neon clothes, makeup, bandannas, leather, denim, and spandex ready to party for a few hours.  The shoot will take place in the parking lot of The 21st Saloon.  Be dressed and ready by 8 PM shooting begins as soon as the sun goes down.

Lastly don't forget to pick up your ticket for the Friday, May 2nd show with 3D In Your Face and Hairball at The Ralston Arena.  This show has the potential to sell out and you don't want to "Standing in the rain by the backstage door."

As always I waited until the last minute to write this blog and I had no idea what I wanted to talk about until I sat down to begin.  All this KISS talk got me thinking.  Last night I watched KISS' induction into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.  The speeches were great but what gave me goosebumps was the introduction speech by Tom Morello.  Check it out HERE.  He launched into an epic profession of how amazing KISS was and not only how great the band was but how awesome the fans that make up the KISS Army are.  That really touched me and got me thinking.  KISS not only united it's fans but united each and everyone of us to each other by the power of Rock N Roll.  You can say Led Zepplin or Black Sabbath did the same.  The music touched us.  The music changed us forever. The music united our souls.  I now share a common bond with people all over the world.  Maybe around Nebraska, or wherever you are from you are few but you know that in every city and country there are thousands of people that feel the same exact thing you do when you put your favorite band on.  Rock N Roll has united us and transcends logic, trends, religions, class, society, colors, and languages.  Everybody goes through some tough shit in their lives but the beauty of Rock N Roll is that those albums will never let you down.  They will still mean the same today as they do 20 years from now.

Which brings me from globally to locally.  I have been blown away by the amazing 3D In Your Face Army, a group of warriors that have made it their mission to not only push the music of 3D In Your Face but champion the cause of Rock N Roll.  In every city we play they are there, show in and show out.  It doesn't matter if it's 10 miles or 100 miles.  Without these people I personally wouldn't be able to do what I do every day.  The inspiration that I am getting back is the fuel that pushes me onward.  Once again everybody goes through shit in their daily life and my shit isn't any different than anybody else.  What pushes me past the shit is the belief that comes from my friends and family that make up the 3D In Your Face Army.  The same belief that I put in the KISS Army.  No barriers.  Never alone.  I am very sure it's hard for KISS to fathom their influence on the generations of musicians and Rock fans around the world but it's easy to see the power of the KISS Army.  We are all together in this.
