Dream On and Let No Shit-Talker Ever Bring You Down.

Hello all you heavy metal Hellions.  The ambassadors to the Rock N Roll legacy.  Welcome to HAIR IN THE AIR, The Official Blog of 3D In Your Face.  Summer Tour baby.  The wheels keep rollin' and I never want to go home.  Thank you everybody that came out to support us last weekend.  Thank you to all of our new fans and friends.  This week we have another wild ride just as the summer is heating up.  First and foremost Friday, July 25th we will be traveling North East to Milford, IA for an early show at The Boji Bay Fun House.  Can you freaking say BOJI BABY!  This is an early show that begins at 7PM but you can better believe that we are coming hard and fast.  It's been quite some time since we have been to the "Land of Milk and Honey" and we are more than excited to be back.  Saturday, July 26th we are traveling back across the state of Nebraska to Saint Libory, NE/Worms, NE for an outdoor 80's bash at Night Crawlers Bar.  This show is a street dance and there will also be an 80's costume contest with prizes for best dressed boy and best dressed girl.  On Thursday morning July 24th I will be doing a special phone interview with Franzman and 107.7 The Island at 8 AM .  Tune in.

Now for the good stuff.  Actually this is kind of bad and pardon me if this comes off as a little rant-y.  Last Saturday in Kearney we played an amazing show to a kick ass crowd.  The club was packed front to back.  We sold a decent amount of albums and t-shirts.  We partied hard with fans, friends and family.  Go big or go home.  I was checking Facebook and one of our fans posted up some awesome live shots of the band.  I am always flattered that someone would take the time to snap some shots during our show.  Then somebody comment on the pictures, "Looks like a bunch of fags."  Usually stuff like this doesn't bother me but for some reason this guy really got under my skin.  So I replied back with a swift "Thanks buddy, God Bless".  I always find this to be the best way to respond back to any negative comment.  It's pretty easy for someone to take pot shots at a band when there sitting behind a computer screen.  But this was more than some negative comment.  This was pure and simple hate.  I can't stand for that kind of disrespect.  At the end of the day our sexual orientation really has nothing to do with the music that we create. The beautiful thing about music is that you can be gay or straight and if you put out amazing music nobody cares.  Music is one of the only things that travel beyond sexual discrimination.  For example, I grew up always knowing the Rob Halford from Judas Priest was gay.  That never once influenced my decision to buy a Judas Priest record.  I never once thought that they rocked any less hard because of Rob's sexual standings.  Same with Freddy Mercury.  He was one of the greatest singers of all time.  His band was and still is the epitome of cool.  Does Freddy's personal life make me sing "Bohemian Rhapsody" any less loud in my car.  NOT A FUCKING CHANCE.  It simply isn't about that.

So what it comes down to is the guy thinking that because we wear makeup and have long hair that these things makes us less of a human being.  He thinks that he has the right to put someone down because they look different or dress different than he sees fit.  Honestly this has been going on forever. My stance will always be firm on this, nothing gives you the right to put another person down based on their race, sexual orientation, or religion.  I responded back this this guy but I shouldn't have even spent another second on this.  Those kind of comments just push me on.  They drive me forward.  Maybe it's a good thing.  That anger I felt just gets put into my lyrics.  I think of those comments during the third set on a 100 degree stage when I'm starting to fade out.  I will proudly step out of my house everyday wearing black eyeliner and women's jeans so suck on that.  Hatred has no place in Rock N Roll.  We use this music to escape real life and to escape our problems.  Rock N Roll has become our savior.  If this music has taught us one thing, it's that you can be whoever you want to be and do whatever you want to do.  Dream on and let no shit-talker ever bring you down.

ALWAYS LOUD
FOREVER PROUD
